L.F.L. is a mini-blog that captures the street furniture in my neighborhood in Oakland, CA. It started as a creative outlet, born out of curiosity and frustration. Where most people saw litter, I saw beauty and broken promises. I wanted to capture this phenomenon and explore it further. I write small vignettes on Instagram that range from silly to original micro-reporting.

What if beautifully imperfect, discarded furniture pieces represented the beginning of local American supply chains, instead of the end?

Street orphans. Fast furniture. Promising beauties. Some of everything is left on the curb. They have so much personality and embedded value. How can we ensure these pieces continue to operate at their highest, best use? What stands in our way?
